It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Artistic Director, Suzanne Doyle Yerxa.
Suzanne Doyle-Yerxa was a true force—an inspiring leader whose passion for the arts left an indelible mark on everyone she encountered. Through her vision, dedication, and boundless creativity, she brought theatre to life in ways that enriched not only the stage, but the entire community around her.
For countless seasons, Suzanne poured her heart into her work with the KV Players, transforming hot summer nights into unforgettable experiences filled with storytelling, laughter, and reflection. Her commitment extended beyond performance, as she nurtured talent and fostered a deep appreciation for the theatrical arts through her efforts at KVHS. Students, performers, and audiences alike were touched by her guidance, her energy, and her unwavering belief in the power of theatre.
Suzanne’s legacy is one of inspiration and artistic excellence. She had a rare ability to see potential in others and to bring out the very best in every production and every person she worked with. Her influence will continue to resonate in the performances she shaped, the lives she mentored, and the community she helped build.
Though her passing leaves a profound emptiness, it also calls us to remember and celebrate a life so richly lived. Suzanne gave so much of herself to her craft and to those around her, and in doing so, created something lasting and meaningful.
As we say goodbye, we honor her in the way she would understand best—with gratitude, remembrance, and applause. Suzanne Doyle Yerxa has taken her final bow, but her spirit will forever remain in the spotlight, in every performance, and in every heart she touched.
